Scan and Read Software

Our fourth device I bring to you is the Scan and Read Software.

Students or anyone who has print disabilities such as difficulty reading paper based information due to dyslexia, visual impairment, learning difficulties or those whose physical impairments prevent them from handling and reading the printed word would generally benefit from having the material scanned onto the computer.

A common brand is the Kurzweil 3000 software. This program I found very interesting. I actually wrote a paper a few days ago on this particular software. I found it very neat and interesting how it can be used interchangeably with other programs such as Inspiration and WordQ to get the most out of the features they each provide.
